Has the female Captain been removed?

The Captain, the protagonist, was historically shown in both a male and a female version^[4][1]. The female Captain has disappeared from recent marketing, which fuels community discussion. PC Gamer notes that she is missing from marketing but not confirmed as removed^[1].

Does "no character gacha" mean no gacha at all?

NetEase has confirmed that there is no character gacha: all playable characters are obtained through gameplay and story progression^[2][3][1]. Players, however, pointed out the precise wording. Only character gacha is excluded, and some ask whether weapons or cosmetics could still be sold through a random system^[2][1].

The question is legitimate: PC Gamer confirms it is still unknown whether paid cosmetics will be sold directly or through their own randomized system^[1]. Is Ananta just an "anime GTA"?

The nickname is common, in the press and among fans^[1][3]. It has also produced jokes: a highly rated comment under a trailer claimed that "GTA 6 was postponed out of fear of competing with Ananta", which TechRadar quotes as an illustration of the hype^[3]. The developers, for their part, say the game can coexist with GTA 6 and has "very many key differences"^[3].
