The short version
Ananta takes place in two cities: Nova City (新启), a modern metropolis, and Chongxiao (重霄), with part of the story set in its Lingyun area[1][2][3]. The official website currently describes two districts in Nova City and four areas in Chongxiao. No full map has been published.

The characters tied to these places are listed on the character list.
What are the official names in other languages?
Steam and the official site give Nova City as 新启 in Chinese, 新啓 in Japanese and 신계 in Korean; the Spanish store text uses "Ciudad Nova"[3][1]. NetEase has not published French, German or Portuguese names for the districts, so this page keeps the English names from the official site.
When was Chongxiao revealed?
Chongxiao was revealed in the release date trailer shown at Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live[4][5]. The press contrasts it with Nova City: Tokyo-like streets on one side, lakes and historic architecture inspired by Hangzhou and Shanghai on the other[4].
