Nova City in Ananta: districts and what we know

Nova City is the main city of Ananta: a modern metropolis where the Captain, newly arrived as head of an ACD special task force, becomes an influencer^[1][7][2]. Press previews describe it as Tokyo-like^[3]. The official site currently details two of its districts, Downtown and the Veluxity Zone^[1].

What is Nova City?

Nova City is one of the two cities in Ananta, alongside Chongxiao^[1][7][2]. It is the modern metropolis of the game, and the place where the story starts: the Captain arrives there with the ACD and gradually builds a following as an influencer^[1][3].

The name has official versions in several languages^[2][1]:

No other localized name exists, which is why we use "Nova City" everywhere.

Which districts are in Nova City?

The official site has published two district cards so far^[1]:

• Downtown, "Loved By Locals": shops, screens and hangouts. The card features Victor and a hot-dog vendor named Frank Forker.
• Veluxity Zone, "Fun Central": a district of street racing and fight clubs, ruled by the ParaBoar biker gang. Reign Group, Nova City's largest conglomerate, is also present there.

No other Nova City district has an official card yet. Our districts page lists every official area of both cities.

What can you do in Nova City?

Press previews list street racing, arcade mini-games, the gym, shopping for outfits, home customization, dating, mahjong parlors, maid cafes and petting cats^[3][5]. The world also includes more than 100 NPCs with their own stories and quests, some of whom can be recruited^[5][8]. The full list is in our guide to city activities.

Who runs Nova City?

Officially, the power players shown so far are the ACD, the task force the Captain leads^[1], the ParaBoar gang and Reign Group in the Veluxity Zone^[1]. PC Gamer also mentions Lykaia, a fox woman described as Prime Minister of Nova City and Director of the NCCA^[3]. She is not listed on the official site, so her role remains unconfirmed.

Has anyone played in Nova City yet?

Yes, briefly. At Gamescom 2026, Inven played a Nova City segment of about 15 minutes, including a chase where a character called Lyca drives^[4]. There has never been an open beta^[3].

How big is Nova City?

The size of the map has not been announced. In December 2025, the developers told TechRadar that the city "remains incomplete" and would be expanded gradually, with possible future maps based on other Asian locations^[6]. For the second city revealed in 2026, read our page on Chongxiao and Lingyun.
