Ananta release date: January 15, 2027, launch time and preload

In short: Ananta, the free open-world urban RPG from Naked Rain and NetEase Games, releases on Friday, January 15, 2027 on PC, PS5, iOS and Android, worldwide and on the same day. It is free to play. Launch time and preload are not announced yet.

When was the date announced?

The date was revealed with the Launch Date Trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 25, 2026^[2]. It now appears on the official website^[1] and on every store listing^[4][5][6][7]. NetEase reported more than 17.2 million pre-registrations in 110 countries and regions that day^[3]. Every earlier step, from Project Mugen to the trailers, is on our release calendar.

What time does Ananta launch?

NetEase has not announced a launch time. Neither the official website nor Steam gives an hour^[1][5]. The only marker is the US App Store listing, which shows "Expected Jan 15, 2027" and stores the date at 00:00 UTC^[4]. Stores often use midnight as a placeholder until the publisher confirms the real time, and NetEase may also open servers region by region.

If that placeholder holds, here is the launch in local time. Unofficial table, to be replaced as soon as NetEase publishes an hour:

Some sites quote 08:00 UTC: we found no official source for it, and the App Store listing checked on October 28, 2026 still says 00:00 UTC^[4]. The calendar tool converts the reference to your own time zone.

Can you preload Ananta?

Not yet. No preload date has been announced for PC, PS5 or mobile^[1][5]. The store listings only show the release date and a wishlist or pre-order button^[4][6][7]. There is no paid early access, and PC Gamer reports no open beta before launch^[8]. A preload usually opens a few days before release: we will add it here with its source.

Ananta on PC

On PC, Ananta comes out on Steam and on the official NetEase launcher^[1][8]. The Steam page shows January 15, 2027, a free-to-play game, and the Online Co-op and Cross-Platform Multiplayer categories^[5]. Hardware needs are in our requirements tool.

Ananta on PS5

The official PlayStation page lists Ananta for PS5 and PS5 Pro, free to play with optional in-game purchases, on January 15, 2027^[7]. No PS4 or Xbox version has been announced.

Ananta on iOS

The App Store listing is open for pre-order: "Expected Jan 15, 2027 · Free", published by NetEase^[4]. It requires iOS 15.0 or later.

Ananta on Android

The Google Play listing is live and shows the global release on January 15, 2027^[6]. No minimum Android requirement has been published.

How to pre-register before launch

Pre-registration is still open on the official website, with milestone rewards such as Golvent, a car paint selector and a character outfit^[1]. Our pre-registration guide lists every reward and how to sign up. To play with friends on day one, see what is confirmed about co-op and cross-play.

Is the date likely to move?

Nothing suggests it on October 28, 2026: the date is on the official site and on all four store listings. If NetEase changes it, the Updates block of this page will say so, with the source.
