The short version

  • Bansy is a pink-haired street artist, described as being as destructive as she is creative[2].
  • She fights with a paintball minigun that seems to fire lasers and leave paint splashes, plus paint-can grenades[1][2].
  • Her bio was removed from the official website on September 23, 2025: her place in the launch roster is not confirmed[2][5].

Bansy is one of the sixteen Ananta characters revealed so far by trailers, social media posts and the official website[1], and one of the eight names marked unconfirmed in our list of all Ananta characters. Her graffiti and her paint weapons make her one of the most recognisable designs of the cast. Here is what was shown, where it comes from, and what is still open.

Who is Bansy in Ananta?

Bansy is a pink-haired street artist "known to be as destructive as she is creative"[2]. PC Gamer simply calls her a graffiti artist[1]. The community wiki quotes her former official introduction: a free soul whose passion for new things "burns red hot, for a minute, give or take", who invites everyone to try graffiti, with the line "I'll paint my mark on the world for sure!"[3]

The wiki also ties her to the Delirium Block, which it describes as the district of Nova City where the underground art scene lives[3]. That district does not appear on the current official website, so we treat it as unconfirmed. Her name is an obvious nod to Banksy, the anonymous street artist, as the wiki points out[3]; NetEase has not commented on it.

What weapons does Bansy use?

Pocket Tactics describes a gun that appears to shoot lasers and that seems to leave a splash of paint wherever she fires[2]. PC Gamer calls it a paintball minigun, adds paint-can grenades, and lists "Bansy's paintguns" among the unique attacks that set the characters apart[1]. According to the wiki, she carries two spray cans used as explosives, and her ultimate ability throws graffiti over an area[3]. Those last details come from fan analyses of the trailers, not from an official move list.

That makes Bansy one of the few ranged specialists in the revealed cast. Her kit would still rest on the shared systems described in our combat guide: melee combos, guard and dodge, objects picked up in the street, firearms and character switching[1].

Is Bansy playable in Ananta?

Not confirmed. The official website currently lists six playable characters: the Captain, Shi Ye, Taffy, Richie, Wei Yinglong and Seymour[5]. Pocket Tactics reports that Bansy's bio was removed from the official site, like those of Alan, Mechanika and Ringo, with the September 23, 2025 update[2]. The Ananta wiki still files her under playable characters[4][3], but that page reflects the earlier website and is not an official announcement.

A removal from the website is not a confirmed cut. Pocket Tactics stresses that details changed a lot between trailers and that bios are "a little up in the air"[2]. The developers told TechRadar that a character you are not controlling "continues to live their own life" in the city[6], so Bansy could also come back as a story character. Until NetEase lists her again, she stays unconfirmed in our character list tool.

Which characters is Bansy linked to?

No official relationship has been published. Bansy was presented in the same wave as Alan, the student model with ice yo-yos, and both disappeared from the official site on the same day[2]. Among the confirmed cast, her loud and explosive style is closest to Taffy, whose unique attacks include throwing a motorbike[1].

What is not yet confirmed about Bansy?

  • Whether Bansy will be playable at launch on January 15, 2027[5].
  • Her full move set, including the spray-can ultimate described by fans.
  • The Delirium Block district and any faction ties.
  • Any official Japanese, Chinese, French, Spanish, German or Portuguese name on the current site: none is published.

We will update this page as soon as NetEase publishes a new character card or trailer featuring Bansy. Previous in the series: Alan.

Updates

  • Page created after checking the official website (six playable characters listed), Pocket Tactics, PC Gamer and the Ananta wiki.
