Ananta Seymour: who is Seymour and what we know

Seymour is one of the six playable characters officially presented for Ananta: a masked hacker who lives in an RV and can track anyone with a signal^[1]. The official names are セモア in Japanese and 赛默 in Chinese^[1][2]. Like every playable character, Seymour is obtained by playing, not through a gacha^[4][5].

Who is Seymour in Ananta?

The official website presents Seymour as a hacker who hides behind a mask and lives in a recreational vehicle^[1]. The key line on the character card is the skill set: Seymour can track anyone who carries a signal^[1]. The Chinese official site lists the character under the name 赛默^[2].

That is the full official description today. The card says nothing about why Seymour wears a mask or lives on the road, and we do not fill the gaps with guesses.

What has been shown of Seymour?

According to PC Gamer's guide to the game, Seymour uses robot spider gadgets during stealth sections^[3]. It is one of the few concrete gameplay details reported for this character, and it comes from the press rather than from NetEase directly.

The profile matches one of the roles NetEase lists for Ananta: its Tokyo Game Show 2025 press release says players take on roles such as task-force captain, cop, hacker, delivery person and live-streamer^[6]. Ananta lets you switch between several characters, each with a story of their own, and the developers told TechRadar that a character you are not controlling "continues to live their own life"^[5].

How do you get Seymour?

By playing. Ananta has no character gacha: first reported by Famitsu and relayed by AUTOMATON, then repeated by the developers, all playable characters are obtained for free through gameplay and story progression^[4][5][3]. Monetization focuses on cosmetics such as outfits^[4][5].
