The mobile ratings come from the questionnaire that the publisher fills in for the stores. They can differ from the ratings that PEGI, the ESRB or the USK will give the PC and PS5 versions after review. Steam already shows a stricter value in Germany (16) than Google Play (USK 12)[2][3].
What the game shows
Ananta is an urban open world in Nova City. Its official gameplay trailers show combat with superpowers, melee and firearms, chases and driving[9]. The store descriptors match that picture: violence is frequent but cartoon or fantasy, weapons are present, and horror and suggestive themes are infrequent[1]. Two points matter more than violence for younger players:
- Random paid items. The App Store says the game contains loot boxes, and Google Play lists in-game purchases that include random items[1][2]. NetEase has said that characters are not sold through a gacha[14]; the random items concern other content. Details in our free-to-play and gacha page.
- Online interaction. Both stores flag chat or user interaction[1][2], and the App Store mentions user-generated content.

Ananta is often called an "anime GTA", but its ratings are far from GTA V's. They are even lower than Zenless Zone Zero's on Google Play in Europe for now. Our Ananta vs GTA comparison covers the rest.
Can my child play Ananta?
On mobile, the official answer is 12 and up in Europe and 13 and up on iOS[1][2]. On PC, the only published marker is 16 on Steam in Germany[3], and the console rating is still pending[4]. Until PEGI and the ESRB publish their decisions, these are the values to rely on.
In practice, the risks are less about violence than about purchases and chat. Before launch, set spending limits and chat restrictions with Screen Time (iOS), Family Link (Android) or the PS5 parental controls. The game is free, and its release is planned for January 15, 2027: see our release date page.
