Ananta Dila: the claymore fighter who controls meteors, what we know

Dila is one of the sixteen Ananta characters revealed so far by trailers, social media posts and the official website^[1]. She is also one of the eight names marked unconfirmed in our list of all Ananta characters, and probably the most secretive of them. Here is what was shown, where the information comes from, and what is still open.

Who is Dila in Ananta?

Dila is a white-haired woman that PC Gamer describes as "shrouded in mystery"^[1]. Pocket Tactics calls her the most mysterious character on its list: she is investigating a meteor disaster in one of the game's urban areas, and she can also control meteors herself^[2]. The community wiki files her occupation as investigator^[3].

That portrait comes from an earlier version of the official website. The wiki quotes its former introduction: "A girl shrouded in mystery who investigates the meteor disaster in Nova City. She's even able to control meteors herself. All that's known about her is her name and gender."^[3] It also keeps her official line: "My eye colors? That's a secret for now."^[3] No newer official text has replaced it, and Pocket Tactics warns that it is unsure the information still holds, since the story seems to have changed after the September 23, 2025 trailer^[2].

What weapon does Dila use?

Dila fights with a claymore, a large two-handed sword, and PC Gamer adds that she is "confirmed to have supernatural powers"^[1]. The meteors are the most striking part of her kit: the old official introduction says she controls them^[3], which would place her well above the street-level fighting of most of the cast.

The wiki goes further and mentions a possible giant form hinted at in trailers, and a deep voice in the 2023 Project Mugen video that fans attribute to that form^[3]. Those details come from fan breakdowns, not from NetEase, so treat them as unverified. The rest of her kit would rest on the shared systems described in our combat guide: melee with light and heavy attacks, guard and dodge, objects picked up in the street, and character switching^[1].

Is Dila playable in Ananta?

Not confirmed. The official website currently lists six playable characters: the Captain, Shi Ye, Taffy, Richie, Wei Yinglong and Seymour^[5]. We checked the site again on October 21, 2026: Dila is not mentioned. The Ananta wiki still files her under playable characters^[4][3], but that classification relies on older material and is not an official announcement.

Being absent from the website does not mean being cut from the game. Pocket Tactics points out that character details changed a lot between trailers, especially after September 2025^[2]. The developers told TechRadar that a character you are not controlling "continues to live their own life"^[6], so Dila could also return as a story character, for instance at the center of the meteor plot, rather than as a playable one. Until NetEase lists her again, she stays unconfirmed in our character list tool.

Which characters is Dila linked to?

No official relationship has been published. Her investigation ties her to Nova City, the first district of the game. She is presented next to Lykaia, the Prime Minister of Nova City and Director of its crime agency, who is also missing from the current website^[1][5]. If Dila is playable, she would share the city and the switching system with the Captain, the protagonist who leads the ACD task force^[5]. The wiki hints that her power and the fate of the city may be linked, possibly in an antagonistic role, but marks that idea as unconfirmed^[3].

What is not yet confirmed about Dila?

• Whether Dila will be playable at launch on January 15, 2027^[5].
• Her full move set, the real role of the meteors and the rumored giant form.
• Whether the meteor disaster is still part of the story after the September 2025 changes^[2].
• Any official Japanese, Chinese, French, Spanish, German or Portuguese name on the current site: none is published.
