Ananta Lykaia: the Prime Minister with a spear, what we know

Lykaia is one of the sixteen Ananta characters revealed so far by trailers, social media posts and the official website^[1]. She is also one of the eight names marked unconfirmed in our list of all Ananta characters, even though she holds the most powerful public office of the cast. Here is what was shown, where the information comes from, and what is still open.

Who is Lykaia in Ananta?

PC Gamer presents Lykaia as both the Prime Minister of Nova City and the Director of the Nova City Crime Agency (NCCA)^[1]. That double role makes her the official face of the city's power, on the political side and on the police side at once. Pocket Tactics admits it does not know much more about her, but notes that she used to feature heavily in the Scope section of the official website^[2].

The community wiki quotes her former official introduction: "The Prime Minister of Nova City, mature, effortlessly cool, and a complete smooth operator. With instincts akin to a wolf, she's always in control, keeping her cool even when things get dicey. Always prioritising the big picture, she rarely focuses on herself."^[3] Her official line was "Are today's matters all settled?"^[3] The wiki also gives her full name as Lykaia Reign^[3]; no current official page confirms that surname.

Is Lykaia a fox or a wolf?

The sources disagree. PC Gamer calls her a "fox lady"^[1], while the wiki describes wolf ears and a tail and lists her as a wolf Esper, in line with the "instincts akin to a wolf" of her old introduction^[3]. Her name also recalls the Greek word lykos, wolf, as the wiki points out^[3]. Until NetEase publishes a new character card, both readings circulate.

What weapon does Lykaia use?

Lykaia fights with a two-handed spear-like weapon, according to PC Gamer^[1]; the wiki describes a long spear used for sweeping attacks at mid range^[3]. She is also tied to driving. In the announcement trailer she drifts a blue car away from a pack of enemies, then picks up the protagonist to escape^[2]. In the Nova City segment of the Gamescom 2026 demo, Inven Global saw a character called Lyca drive during a chase^[6]: she may be Lykaia, but the name differs and nothing confirms it. Is Lykaia playable in Ananta?

Not confirmed. The official website currently lists six playable characters: the Captain, Shi Ye, Taffy, Richie, Wei Yinglong and Seymour^[5]. We checked the site again on October 21, 2026: Lykaia is not mentioned. The Ananta wiki still files her under playable characters^[4][3], but that classification relies on older material and is not an official announcement. Her political role could also make her a central story character rather than a playable one. Until NetEase lists her again, she stays unconfirmed in our character list tool.

Which characters is Lykaia linked to?

The clearest link is the Captain, the protagonist who leads the ACD task force^[5]: Lykaia is the one who picks up the protagonist in the announcement trailer^[2], and the wiki describes the NCCA and the ACD as working in the same space with different mandates^[3]. Her possible surname echoes Reign Group, a faction the official site places in the Veluxity Zone of Nova City^[5]; no source states that the two are related. She is presented next to Dila, the claymore fighter who investigates a meteor disaster, also missing from the current website^[1].

What is not yet confirmed about Lykaia?

• Whether Lykaia will be playable at launch on January 15, 2027^[5].
• Her species (fox or wolf), her surname and her full move set.
• Whether Lyca from the Gamescom 2026 demo is the same character^[6].
• Any official Japanese, Chinese, French, Spanish, German or Portuguese name on the current site: none is published.
