The short version
- Mechanika, nicknamed Meg, is a high-energy engineer and "ghost worker" whose Esper ability brings machines to life[1][2].
- Her former official bio described machine "concerts" and a love of French fries; it is no longer on the official website[2][3].
- She was removed from the official website with the September 23, 2025 update: her place in the launch roster is not confirmed[2][5].
Mechanika is one of the sixteen Ananta characters revealed so far by trailers, social media posts and the official website[1]. She is also one of the eight names marked unconfirmed in our list of all Ananta characters, and one of the four whose profile disappeared from the official site in September 2025[2]. Here is what was shown, where the information comes from, and what is still open.
Who is Mechanika in Ananta?
PC Gamer describes Mechanika, also called "Meg", as a high-energy engineer and a "ghost worker"[1]. Pocket Tactics gives the same picture: a ghost worker who can make machines come to life, known for throwing massive concerts with a bunch of machines, whose favorite food is French fries[2]. Neither outlet explains what "ghost worker" means in the world of Ananta; PC Gamer openly admits it does not know[1].
The community wiki quotes her former official introduction: "A ghost worker at Shorewater Industries who can make machines come alive. Cool, yeah? But cooler yet is having a concert with a bunch o' machines!"[3] The same text calls her "a guardian angel who loves nothing more than to help humans and indulge in a plate or three of French fries"[3]. Her official line was "Hey, it's me, Mechanika! Got any spare parts or stuff that needs fixing? Hit me up!"[3] These quotes come from the old version of the official website; no current official page repeats them.
What is Mechanika's Esper power?
Her Esper ability is to bring machines to life, according to PC Gamer[1] and Pocket Tactics[2]. In Ananta, Espers are characters with supernatural abilities, and Mechanika's is the most mechanical of the announced cast. Her old introduction turns that power into a show: "Big-bada-boom clangety dang! All work gets done in a jiffy in a hubbub of mechanical clangs."[3] In other words, she does not repair machines by hand so much as wake them up and let them work for her.
What weapon does Mechanika use?
No official gameplay clip has shown Mechanika fighting. The wiki describes a small robotic sheep that follows her and attacks enemies on command, plus a bell necklace that may serve to call her machines[3]. Those details come from fan breakdowns of promotional art and videos, not from an official move list, so we treat them as unverified. What is certain is the shared base: melee combat, guard and dodge, objects picked up in the street and character switching apply to the whole roster[1]. See our combat guide for those systems.
Is Mechanika playable in Ananta?
Not confirmed. The official website currently lists six playable characters: the Captain, Shi Ye, Taffy, Richie, Wei Yinglong and Seymour[5]. We checked the site again on October 21, 2026: Mechanika is not mentioned. Pocket Tactics reports that her bio is no longer available[2], and our character list tool records that she was removed with the September 23, 2025 update, alongside Alan, Bansy and Ringo. The Ananta wiki still files her under playable characters[4][3], but that classification relies on older material and is not an official announcement.
Which characters is Mechanika linked to?
No official text ties Mechanika to another character. The wiki places her at Shorewater Industries[3], a company that no current official page mentions. She was removed at the same time as Alan, Bansy and Ringo, which suggests a shared rework of these characters rather than four separate decisions[2]. Her playful, helpful profile also echoes Aileen, the maid cafe manager who is likewise absent from the official website, and Shi Ye, the official character known for tech and gadgets[5].
What is not yet confirmed about Mechanika?
- Whether Mechanika will be playable at launch on January 15, 2027[5].
- Her combat kit: the robotic sheep and the bell necklace are fan observations.
- What a "ghost worker" is, and whether Shorewater Industries still exists in the current story.
- Any official Japanese, Chinese, French, Spanish, German or Portuguese name on the current site: none is published.
We will update this page as soon as NetEase publishes a new character card or trailer featuring Mechanika. Next in the series: Aileen.
