Ananta Mimiko: the glasses-wearing streamer close to Taffy

Mimiko is one of the sixteen Ananta characters in our roster, and the one with the thinnest trail of sources. She is also one of the eight names marked unconfirmed in our list of all Ananta characters. This page sets out what was published, where it comes from, and why we keep her status open.

Who is Mimiko in Ananta?

PC Gamer is the only major outlet that names her. Its guide describes Mimiko as a "streamer who wears glasses and seems to be friends with Taffy"^[1]. That single line is the whole published description: no age, no job beyond streaming, no district of Nova City. The phrase "seems to be" matters: PC Gamer infers the friendship from promotional material rather than quoting an official bio^[1].

A streamer fits the world of Ananta, where social media is part of everyday life in Nova City and the trailers play with the idea of going viral. ANANTA Codex, a fan site, reads her name as a streamer or idol handle and suggests she might be a civilian ally rather than a field operative^[2]. The site itself labels that idea as speculation, and so do we.

Is there an official Mimiko bio?

No. The other unconfirmed characters, such as Ringo, Alan or Mechanika, had a bio on the old official website that the community wiki still quotes. Mimiko has none that we could find. We checked on October 23, 2026: the Ananta wiki has no Mimiko page and does not list her in its Playable Characters category^[4], and the Pocket Tactics list of every character seen so far does not include her either^[3]. There is therefore no official quote to report here, and we do not invent one.

What weapon does Mimiko use?

Unknown. No trailer breakdown, official clip or wiki page describes how Mimiko fights. ANANTA Codex lists her role, faction, weapon and element as "TBA"^[2]. If she is playable, she will share the base every character has: melee combat, guard and dodge, objects picked up in the street and character switching^[1]. See our combat guide for those systems.

Is Mimiko playable in Ananta?

Not confirmed. The official website currently lists six playable characters: the Captain, Shi Ye, Taffy, Richie, Wei Yinglong and Seymour^[5]. Mimiko is not among them, and her name does not appear anywhere in the site's character data we checked on October 23, 2026. ANANTA Codex calls her a "confirmed playable character" and says she appears in official promotional videos^[2], but it links no official page and gives no timestamp, so we cannot verify the claim. Unlike Ringo, Mimiko is not cited among the characters removed with the September 23, 2025 update^[3], which suggests she never had a full profile on the official site.

Which characters is Mimiko linked to?

Taffy, the bunny-eared courier of the Yeet Squad, is the only link mentioned by the press: PC Gamer says the two seem to be friends^[1]. Her streamer profile also puts her close to Ringo, the emoji-loving high schooler whose old bio was built around online life. Neither link is confirmed by a current official page.

What is not yet confirmed about Mimiko?

• Whether Mimiko will be playable at launch on January 15, 2027^[5].
• Her role, faction, weapon and the video in which she appears.
• The nature of her friendship with Taffy.
• Any official Japanese, Chinese, French, Spanish, German or Portuguese name: none is published.
