Ananta Ringo: the emoji-loving high schooler who works for the D.P.A.

Ringo is one of the sixteen Ananta characters revealed so far by trailers, social media posts and the official website^[1]. She is also one of the eight names marked unconfirmed in our list of all Ananta characters, and one of the four whose profile disappeared from the official site in September 2025^[2]. Here is what was shown, where the information comes from, and what is still open.

Who is Ringo in Ananta?

PC Gamer describes Ringo as a lively, "digitally native" high schooler who works for an organization called the DPA^[1]. Pocket Tactics is more cautious: it says nothing is really known about her, because her image only appeared on the official website before the September 2025 update, and that content is now gone^[2]. The same outlet spotted her playing volleyball at about the 30-second mark of the Ananta announcement trailer^[2].

The community wiki quotes her former official introduction: "A lively high schooler juggling life as a liaison for the D.P.A. Emoji enthusiast, can't hold a chat online without 'em. Her weekend isn't complete without hitting the shopping lane and scoring some pudding from Dream Garden."^[3] The text ends with: "Got a super urgent mission? Better reach out to the 'Captain' ASAP!"^[3] Her official line was "Anything cool happen on your last mission? I'm dying to know all the deets! Lay it on me!"^[3] These quotes come from the old version of the official website; no current official page repeats them.

What is the D.P.A. in Ananta?

No official text explains it. PC Gamer only says Ringo works "for an organization called the DPA" and does not expand the acronym^[1]. The wiki calls the D.P.A. a bureaucratic organization within Nova City^[3], but that description is a fan reading, not an official one, so we treat it as unverified. What the old bio does make clear is her job: a liaison, the person who passes urgent missions on to the Captain^[3].

What weapon does Ringo use?

No official gameplay clip has shown Ringo fighting, and the wiki itself says her abilities and signature weapon have not been confirmed^[3]. Fans point to two round, apple-shaped accessories and a pair of scissors in her outfit as possible weapons or items^[3]; "ringo" means "apple" in Japanese, which fits the theme. Those are design observations, not an official move list, so they stay unverified. What is certain is the shared base: melee combat, guard and dodge, objects picked up in the street and character switching apply to the whole roster^[1]. See our combat guide for those systems.

Is Ringo playable in Ananta?

Not confirmed. The official website currently lists six playable characters: the Captain, Shi Ye, Taffy, Richie, Wei Yinglong and Seymour^[5]. We checked the site again on October 23, 2026: Ringo is not mentioned. Pocket Tactics reports that her content is gone^[2], and our character list tool records that she was removed with the September 23, 2025 update, alongside Alan, Bansy and Mechanika. The Ananta wiki still files her under playable characters^[4][3], but that classification relies on older material and is not an official announcement.

Which characters is Ringo linked to?

Her old bio ties her to two places in the cast. She sends urgent missions to the Captain, and she buys her weekend pudding at Dream Garden, the maid cafe run by Aileen^[3]. Her online, emoji-heavy profile also puts her close to Mimiko, the glasses-wearing streamer PC Gamer lists among Taffy's friends^[1]. None of these links comes from a current official page.

What is not yet confirmed about Ringo?

• Whether Ringo will be playable at launch on January 15, 2027^[5].
• Her combat kit: the apple-shaped accessories and the scissors are fan observations.
• What the D.P.A. is, and whether it still exists in the current story.
• Any official Japanese, Chinese, French, Spanish, German or Portuguese name on the current site: none is published.

We will update this page as soon as NetEase publishes a new character card or trailer featuring Ringo. Next in the series: Mimiko.
