The short version

  • Steam lists 16 interface and subtitle languages, including French, German, Spanish and Portuguese (Portugal)[1].
  • Voice acting only in English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Korean[1].
  • Brazilian Portuguese is not in the Steam list, even though the store page has a Brazilian description[1]. See also our FAQ.

Ananta will be playable with menus and subtitles in 16 languages, according to its Steam page[1]. Voice acting, however, is only listed in English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Korean[1]. If you were hoping for French, Spanish, German or Portuguese voices, they are not planned as far as the store page shows.

Which languages is Ananta available in?

The Steam page lists these 16 languages for the interface and subtitles[1]:

LanguageInterface and subtitlesFull audio (voices)
EnglishYesYes
JapaneseYesYes
Simplified ChineseYesYes
KoreanYesYes
Traditional ChineseYesNo
FrenchYesNo
GermanYesNo
ItalianYesNo
Spanish (Spain)YesNo
Spanish (Latin America)YesNo
Portuguese (Portugal)YesNo
RussianYesNo
PolishYesNo
VietnameseYesNo
ArabicYesNo
ThaiYesNo

These are the languages NetEase declares on Steam for the PC version. The other platforms (PS5, iOS, Android) do not have a public language table yet; our platforms guide covers what is confirmed for each one.

Which voice languages does Ananta have?

Four: English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Korean[1]. There is no French, Spanish, German or Portuguese dub in the Steam listing. In practice, a French or German player will read subtitles in their language and choose one of these four voice tracks.

NetEase has not explained this choice, and it has not said whether more voice languages could be added after launch.

Is Ananta available in Brazilian Portuguese?

This is the least clear case. The Steam language table only includes Portuguese (Portugal), not Brazilian Portuguese[1]. At the same time, the Steam store page does have a store description written in Brazilian Portuguese[1].

So a Brazilian store text exists, but in-game Brazilian Portuguese is not listed. It is possible that the table will change before January 15, 2027, but nothing has been announced. Until then, Brazilian players should expect European Portuguese text, based on the current listing.

Is the official website translated?

Partly. The official website is available in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean[2]. German, French and Portuguese appear in its language menu, but those pages are not live yet[2].

That has a side effect: there are no official French, Spanish, German or Brazilian Portuguese names for the characters or the districts so far. On this site we keep the official English names (Nova City, Chongxiao, Lingyun, the Captain, Shi Ye, Taffy and the others), except where a store page gives a localized name, such as "Ciudad Nova" in the Spanish Steam text[1].

Can the language be changed after installing?

NetEase has not published how language settings or voice packs will work in the launcher, on PS5 or on mobile. We will not guess: this page will be updated once the game or the launcher is available. For launch timing, see our release date page.

What is still unknown?

  • Official French, Spanish, German and Brazilian Portuguese names for characters and districts: not announced yet.
  • Whether Brazilian Portuguese text will be supported in game: not announced yet.
  • Language lists for the PS5, iOS and Android versions: not published yet.

All of these points are also tracked in our FAQ.

Updates

  • Checked the Steam language table and the official website language menu: 16 text languages, 4 voice languages, still no Brazilian Portuguese entry.
